Timothy Driscoll
Executive Vice President
A BAC member since 1985, Tim Driscoll was appointed as an Executive Vice President of the IU Executive Board in February 2010 and elected to a full term in September 2010. Driscoll began his apprenticeship with Local 3 Massachusetts in 1985 and became a Journeyman in 1988. He joined Local 1 Maryland/Virginia/D.C. in 1993 when he moved to the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Driscoll’s abilities were soon recognized by both Local and International leadership, and in 1995 he was tapped to join the IU’s Government Relations department as a lobbyist for the Union, then served as Assistant to the President. In 1999 he was promoted to the position of Director of Trade Jurisdiction, a position he held until his appointment to the Executive Board and an area in which he will continue to lead. Driscoll’s work both representing BAC on Capitol Hill and on trade jurisdiction has been recognized throughout the building trades for his reasoned approach to issues and ability to solve problems and get things done.
Driscoll serves on the National Maintenance Agreement Policy Committee, the General Presidents Project Maintenance Committee, the BCTD Project Review Committee, the Stack & Chimney Labor Management Committee, and the AGC Basic Trades Committee.
He is a second-generation bricklayer. Both his father and brother are members of Local 3 Massachusetts/Maine/New Hampshire/Rhode Island. He holds a BS in Economics from the University of Maryland, and is a graduate of the Harvard Trade Union Program.
